What is Water Treatment Expert AI™?

WTE AI™ is an AI-powered technical knowledge and decision-support innovation aimed at water and wastewater operations.

Is WTE AI a finished commercial SaaS product?

No. An MVP has been developed. The next intended stage is structured validation, product development and transition toward a scalable SaaS platform.

Has WTE AI demonstrated validated plant-performance improvements?

Do not interpret early development activity or interaction figures as independently validated operational performance. Real-world validation remains a key next-stage objective.

Does WTE AI replace licensed engineers or plant operators?

No. It is intended as a knowledge-support aid, not a substitute for qualified professional judgement, site procedures, compliance requirements or human oversight.

How can a water utility express pilot interest?

Prospective partners can email NICP with their facility context, intended use case, technical contact and constraints. Expression of interest does not guarantee a pilot place.

What funding opportunities are you seeking?

NICP welcomes relevant funding and strategic collaboration discussions to support development, technical validation, governance and a scalable commercial platform.

Can funders request technical documents?

Qualified funders and partners may request an appropriate technical and commercial briefing. Sensitive material is shared selectively.

Which regions does WTE AI aim to serve?

The initial market focus is South Africa, with broader potential subject to validation, product readiness and market requirements.

Digital website design and selected online services can serve clients across South Africa and internationally; engineering site visits, on-site training and other in-person work require separate feasibility, travel and conflict-of-interest review.
